Enterprises are no longer asking whether they can acquire AI compute; they are asking whether that compute reliably converts into business value. As inference workloads scale, the economics of AI infrastructure become token-level economics, and two metrics come to the fore: the cost to produce each token, and the value each token delivers. Building an economic foundation that delivers more predictable AI infrastructure costs is essential for sustained enterprise AI operations; however, the challenge is converting that cost efficiency into valuable, predictable business outcomes. Lenovo’s answer to both is the Lenovo Hybrid AI Factory — integrated infrastructure, data, models, and platforms — paired with the Lenovo AI Library of validated use cases and lifecycle services including Lenovo AI Fast Start and the Lenovo AI Express program.

Signal65 measured real token throughput on a Lenovo hybrid AI factory system and combined those measurements with Lenovo-provided representative pricing to evaluate the economics of self-hosting AI on Lenovo infrastructure against public cloud alternatives.
